In Chapter 6, the Hidden Tragedy of Hiroshima, Sternglass indicates that researches on the effects of the nuclear war have let an important facts go unremarked based on his estimation of Hibakushas’ internal exposure dose caused by radioactive fallout in the outskirts of Hiroshima and Nagasaki, located five kilometers from the hypocenters.
